Murphy is responsible for the strategy and execution of Sales, Revenue Management and Marketing in his role with HEI; he has held positions within HEI Hotels & Resorts including Chief Sales Officer, Corporate Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Operational Development and Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to HEI, Karl spent 10 years in Executive Global Branding and Marketing roles for major brands such as Virgin Music, The Body Shop and Bass PLC (Six Continents).


A member of various industry boards and organizations as an owner, franchise representative including Marriott, IHG, Hilton, CVENT and GBTA.

Murphy supports various charitable organizations such as Save The Children, Teenage Cancer Trust UK, CCA, Battersea Cats and Dogs Home.
