HEI Hotels & Resorts has added the Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, FL to its rapidly expanding portfolio of independent resort properties. In a joint venture, Mast Capital and Amzak Capital Management purchased the resort in March and are planning to make significant upgrades. Mast chose HEI to manage the property to institutionalize operations and maximize the vast untapped potential of the resort. This is the second property Mast has engaged HEI to manage.
Saddlebrook Resort is an expansive 480-acre property near Tampa comprised of a 519-key condo hotel resort featuring two Arnold Palmer-designed golf courses and 43 tennis courts, as well as, the Saddlebrook Spa, a half-million-gallon super pool, Dempsey’s Steak House, numerous bars and 100,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space. The resort is also home to the world-renowned Saddlebrook Prep, a tennis and golf academy that counts among its former students famous athletes Andy Roddick, Jennifer Capriati and Pete Sampras.
